Q. Are the services confidential?
A. Yes. We release no information to anyone without your written consent.

Q. Do I need parental consent if I am under 18
years of age?
A. No. We will not notify your parents of the visit. We ask that you think about talking with them, but we do not require it.

Q. What diseases do you test for?
A. Free testing includes Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and HIV. Testing for other diseases may be available for a modest fee.  

Q. How long does it take to get an appointment?
A. It depends on your schedule and how busy we are. Sometimes appointments are available the same day; other times it may be longer. Usually we can get you in within a week unless you need a specific time or day. Please call (570) 389-0236 as soon as you can.

Q. How long does it take to get results?
A. The clinician will advise you based on what tests are being done. It is always within 2 weeks - usually less. She will talk with you about how & when we will be in touch.

Q. Who administers the tests?
A. Clinicians - usually Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or Physicians. 

Q. How are the tests done?
A. Syphilis and HIV are blood tests. Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are urine tests. Sometimes vaginal cultures are needed for females. Other tests depend on the specific disease.

Q. Can my partner come with me?
A. Yes, but we will need private time with each individual.
Q. What if my test is positive?
A. We will either treat you or refer you to someone else who can. If additional services are needed we will connect you with them. We will not contact your partner(s). We only report test results to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. They will not release any information without your consent.
